An experienced finance professional working in the legal field, Mrs. Beverly Stayart currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Business Development for Stayart Law Offices in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. In 2007, World Farm Animals Day ("WFAD") honored Beverly Stayart with an award recognizing her contribution to the 25th annual observance of World Farm Animals Day. Beverly Stayart was given this award for speaking out on behalf of the 50 billion animals suffering in the world's factory farms and slaughterhouses. WFAD has been exposing factory farm and slaughterhouse atrocities since 1983.

In 2009, the Humane Society of the United States ("HSUS") honored Beverly Stayart by presenting her with a Special Recognition Award for helping to preserve the baby seal population in eastern Canada by soliciting restaurant, company, and consumer support of the international commercial boycott of Canadian seafood, spearheading letter writing and e-mail campaigns, and coordinating field trips to garner public suppport.

Beverly Stayart is an avid reader and enjoys the works of American authors Edgar Allan Poe and Edna St. Vincent Millay. Beverly Stayart recommends the book "Pack of Two: The Intricate Bond Between People and Dogs" by Caroline Knapp.

Beverly Stayart is an experienced genealogist and counts a number of famous people among her ancestors, including James Bowles Stephens and Robert Fulton. James Bowles Stephens founded East Portland, Oregon, which later merged with West Portland. The James Bowles Stephens House in Portland is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Another notable ancestor of Beverly Stayart is Robert Fulton. Robert Fulton is most famous for designing and constructing the Clermont in 1807, the first steamboat achieving commercial success. Beverly Stayart is interested in Civil War history, as her great-grandfather, Thomas Fitzgerald, was a Union soldier who fought in several notable battles, including Shiloh, Tennessee and Corinth, Mississippi. Wounded twice, he survived the war. He was the son of Thomas and Isabella (Colbert) Fitzgerald. Born in New York, he was reared in Ontario, Canada, and immigrated to the United States as a young man.

Beverly Stayart has a famous ancestor, James Bowles Stephens. He was the son of Emmor and Elizabeth (Bowles) Stephens. James Bowles Stephens founded East Portland, Oregon, which later merged with West Portland. He established the first ferry service on the Willamette River in Portland, which he operated for 17 years. A major roadway and a public school in Portland were named in honor of James Bowles Stephens. The James Bowles Stephens House is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
