A nationally respected cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Karen Mihalik has been performing SmartLipo and VASER procedures since 2004. Dr. Karen Mihalik studied these techniques at Centers for Health Promotion, Inc. in Coral Springs, Florida, one of the top liposuction clinics in the United States. Dr. Karen Mihalik now travels widely to teach these techniques herself, and she operates North Coast Laser Aesthetics & Liposuction, Inc., with offices in Elyria and Amherst, Ohio. Dr. Karen Mihalik studied at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, and she completed her residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. A Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), Dr. Karen Mihalik practiced primarily as an OB/GYN throughout the 1990s before undertaking liposuction training. Using small catheters affixed with laser or ultrasound devices, Dr. Karen Mihalik melts or vaporizes fatty tissues without harming the surrounding tissue.
